Administration in DabhraJust like rest of the towns even Dabhra has to depend on various administrators and administrative bodies for its day to day functiong. Amongst these various administrators few of them wield huge influence not just on Dabhra village alone, but also on Janjgir–Champa District. Economy of DabhraDabhra is directly or indirectly dependent on agricultural sector for earning their livelihood. The agricultural production of this region is also expectedly pretty huge and so is the revenue generated by it. The most important crop here is Paddy, which actually is the most grown crop in entire Janjgir–Champa District. While there simply cannot be any argument on domination of agricultural sector, but Industrial sector also has an indirect influence over local economy as well. Actually Janjgir–Champa District happens to be one of the emerging regions on the horizons of India’s industrial sector. This is amply proven by presence of more than decent number of industries – including large scale industries – in the entire region, which generates sufficient number of employment even for locals of Dabhra Village. Besides, it is very heartening to mention that Janjgir–Champa District is one of the emerging power hubs of India. Chhattisgarh State Government has signed MOU with 34 power companies to erect power plants in different parts of the District, which would literally make Janjgir–Champa District the new power capital of our country. These emerging power plants would obviously help in bringing even more prosperity for Dabhra village.
Healthcare Services in DabhraThe severe infrastructure deficiency problem that peripherally was discussed in introductory paragraph is most visible in the critical healthcare services. Putting the scenario in more obvious words, then there are literally no well equipped hospitals in this village. Leaving no choice for local patients here, but to migrate to neighboring cities like Janjgir–Champa for quality and reliable medical treatment. Serious diseases like Malaria, Jaundice, Tuberculosis and virtually all other major diseases like cancer etc are all treated in other major cities of Chhattisgarh state. Though there are sufficient numbers of chemist shops in this village. Their much needed presence ensures that local patients here can easily access general medicines and life saving drugs.

Transportation in DabhraThe scenario on front of transportation services is as similar as healthcare services, if not better. There are very few auto rickshaws plying across this village. But more importantly these few auto rickshaws are the only caretaker and service provider of local transportation services here. It is obviously too much to expect for a small village like Dabhra to have a local city bus service or a private cab service. The situation is equally not so pleasant on connectivity front. While decent number of state run buses do ply on every day basis, but there is no railway station in this village. The nearest railway stations are Kharsia railway station and Kharsaliya railway station. Both located some 28 kms away from Dabhra Town.
Banking Services in DabhraTheres are very few reputed banks that are operating their branches here and resultantly most of the banking services here are managed by unorganized players like private money lenders and small local micro finance institutions. Most of the credit and loan that is disposed off in this village comes from these very unregulated and small players. This is obviously not a very pleasant situation, but shortage of banks here hasn’t left much of an option for locals here. That said, few banks that are available here are playing a very important role in inculcating and spreading banking culture here.

Police in DabhraLike all prominent villages and towns, even Dabhra has a police station for ensuring safety and security of its citizens. Local people can anytime register their complaint in this local police station. However, general law and order of this village is so stable that local people here rarely have to go to the extent of registering complaint at local police station. And also going by nature of complaints that do get registered here, then we come to know that most of the crimes occurring here are of very, very non-serious nature. Over all, Dabhra Village is a very peaceful region and therefore local people have to rarely bother about their safety and security.
